Erin Reichelt

Educational & Professional Background:
Erin holds a BA in Journalism, and worked as a media planner in a large advertising agency for a few years directly after undergrad. After determining that she wanted to work in higher education, worked at a university in administration while completing a MS in Counseling Psychology. Following that, she worked as a Career Counselor with primarily adult learners in graduate programs. In 2013, Erin began at the University of Minnesota as a Career Counselor in CLA and Pre-Law Advisor. She has taught Career Exploration, Career Planning, and Law School Exploration courses.
Erin has been involved in the Midwest Association for Pre-Law Advisors (MAPLA) since 2013, and on the board of directors since 2018. She will begin her term as President of MAPLA in 2024.
Best advice for students exploring law:
What you are doing is enough! Follow your own interests and passions, and get involved in something outside of the classroom—that looks different for everyone, and that is okay. There is no one right or best way to get to law school!
